Multiplication centers
From broodstock to shipment: multiplication centers that guarantee perfectly traceable and homogeneous egg production.
Trout eggs with high genetic potential
Our multiplication centers are the sites where broodstock fish are raised, with the aim of rearing the breeders from the egg under optimal conditions. These strategic sites form the core of our embryonated rainbow trout egg production, ensuring genetic continuity and the performance of our strains.
Our selection center supplies the best eggs with high genetic potential. This precise selection work ensures the transmission of the best characteristics in terms of growth, robustness, and flesh quality.
Two years of farming are required for them to become the new broodstock that will produce Aqualande Origins eggs, shipped worldwide.
This complete cycle, from egg to broodstock, guarantees perfect control of traceability and genetic homogeneity unmatched on the market.
Our three multiplication sites are located in different French geographic areas, each with water characteristics specific to its region.
These three sites are also the shipping points for our embryonated eggs to our fish farms within the Aqualande Group, as well as to our clients worldwide.
This geographic distribution makes it possible to ensure continuous and stable production of fish eggs throughout the year, regardless of climate or season.
Our strain is selected for its robustness and adaptability to a wide range of farming conditions.
These qualities make our rainbow trout eggs a preferred choice for fish farmers seeking robust, high-performing fish adapted to different farming environments.
The three Aqualande Origins multiplication centers
Casteljaloux
The Casteljaloux site, located in Lot-et-Garonne (47), has a farming volume of 2,100 m³ with an average stock of 110 tonnes, distributed across 9 photoperiods to spread production. The water flowing through our tanks comes from a spring with an average flow rate of 300 liters per second, a temperature of 12.5°C (with little variation), and a pH of 7.4.
Its hatchery, also supplied by spring water, has a cold circuit (water cooling) allowing incubation temperatures between 6° and 12.5°C for 130 incubators.
This site perfectly illustrates our control of the farming cycle: water quality, adjusted photoperiod, and thermal control ensure optimal conditions for the production of high-quality trout eggs.
Sorgues
The Sorgues site, located in Aveyron (12), has a farming volume of 2,100 m³, with an average stock of 110 tonnes, divided into 6 photoperiods. The water is drawn directly from a spring, with an average flow rate of 500 liters per second, a temperature of 11°C year-round, and a pH of 7.3.
The hatchery is also supplied by water from this spring and has a temperature-adjustable circuit to incubate the eggs between 6° and 11°C for 150 incubators.
This site benefits from remarkable thermal stability, guaranteeing ideal incubation conditions and regular production of embryonated eggs throughout the year.
Pissos
The Pissos site, located in the Landes (40), has a farming volume of 1,100 m³ with an average stock of 50 tonnes, divided into 5 photoperiods.
The water comes from a river with a small watershed; the average flow rate is 120 liters per second, the temperature ranges from 4 to 20°C, which limits the production period, with a pH of 6.3.
The hatchery is supplied by a borehole; the eggs are incubated between 6 and 12°C in 60 incubators.
This site benefits from natural thermal diversity, which makes it possible to adapt production to the seasonal needs of fish farmers and to strengthen the robustness of the reared strains.
