A forward-looking group
Groupe Aqualande is the European leader in trout farming, aquaculture selection in freshwater and marine environments, and smoked trout production. With more than 40 years of experience, the company now embodies a global reference in responsible and innovative aquaculture.
People, the environment, and fish are the priorities at the heart of our CSR strategy: from the very beginning, there has been a shared commitment to respect and uphold core values in farming, namely:
- Preserve a family-run and human-scale aquaculture, rooted in its territory and in perfect harmony with the natural environment.
- Act to preserve water quality and aquatic environments in order to ensure the safety of the natural environment and guarantee our fish the best living conditions.
- Ensure the economic performance of our operations through a continuous policy of innovative investments in production.
- Develop values of solidarity, responsibility, trust, and excellence, by placing thepeople at the center of our projects to foster employee engagement.
In 2024, we renewed our Engagé RSE label (AFAQ 26000 model) at the Exemplary level (761 out of 1,000).
Our “BEES” managerial charter includes 4 values to guarantee our commitments and deploy our vision: Benevolence, Commitment, Exemplarity, and Solidarity.

An ambitious and sustainable aquaculture sector
Innovation is at the heart of our DNA.
Committed to sustainable aquaculture feed!
Even though our trout are champions in feed conversion, we are aware of the carbon impact of certain raw materials as well as the environmental impact of our fish’s metabolism. Our R&D aims to use the most suitable feeds and reduce the environmental impacts of fish farming production.
Our trout are subject to continuous monitoring, from the egg to the adult fish weighing several kilograms, with a focus on improving selection and zootechnics. Particular attention is paid to sanitary quality and to the stress management to ensure fish welfare and health throughout their entire life.
The welfare of our fish is at the very heart of the fish farmer’s profession.
Our ambition is to continuously improve the welfare of our trout, through a logic of ongoing innovation and respect for animal welfare.
