Our rainbow trout eggs
40 years of innovation to offer fish farmers trout eggs recognized worldwide.
A quality recognized worldwide
The Aqualande Group has over 40 years of trout production and aquaculture expertise.
Buying trout eggs from high-quality broodstock directly from Europe’s leading producer means benefiting from the result of many years of rigorous genetic selection and of a constant monitoring of the development of our fish !
Our expertise is based on complete control of the production chain, from broodstock to the delivery of embryonated rainbow trout eggs (Oncorhynchus mykiss).
We mainly produce rainbow trout eggs (Oncorhynchus mykiss) of several types:
Female eggs
Faster early growth (less than 1 kg). A trout capable of producing caviar once a year.
These eggs are particularly suited to fish farmers seeking dynamic growth and optimal yields during the first months of farming.
Sterile eggs
Our selection allows us to achieve faster late growth. For the production of fish > 1.5 kg. Optimized growth and feed conversion ratio. Ideal for a processed final product!
Sterile eggs are preferred for the production of trout intended for processing (filleting, smoking), guaranteeing consistent flesh quality and optimal fattening performance.
Buying our eggs means benefiting from the result of more than 40 years of selection and constant monitoring of the development of our fish!
Our strains are recognized worldwide for their performance, genetic stability, and adaptability to different farming environments.
Eggs resulting from advanced genetic research
Our eggs are the result of several years of research and improvement of our genetic strain, with the following objectives:
• Improving processing yield through precise monitoring in our plant where we process 15,000 tonnes of trout per year: +6% carcass yield.
• Optimization of the strain for fish growth, on trout from 200 g to 1 kg. Feed conversion ratio: −8.9% over 12 generations, growth gain: +23%.
These results demonstrate the exceptional performance of Aqualande Origins strains, the result of scientific work and long-term partnerships with recognized research institutions.

• Consistent flesh quality and fine texture.
Thanks to more than four decades of genetic innovation and field feedback, we support French and international fish farmers toward more efficient and responsible farming.
FAQ
1. Which type of embryonated eggs should be chosen?
Choose the female eggs if you are looking for rapid early growth for fish under 1.5 kg.
Opt for sterile eggs if you are looking for fish over 1.5 kg with a high feed conversion performance, ideally suited for a processed final product.
Our experts can support you in choosing the type of egg best suited to your farming model.
2. Is there a preferred season for buying embryonated trout eggs?
No. We supply quality eggs all year round thanks to our strain managed under photoperiod.
This guarantees a constant availability of fish eggs, regardless of the season or the farming region.
3. Who are Aqualande Origins trout eggs intended for?
For all professional fish farmers located in France and abroad who hold sanitary approval, as well as for our own fish farms.
